Sorting...

Post by innocuoussoul »

Is there any way to get it so the contacts that are away to be hidden? i have a long buddy list and many of them are online at all times... it would be nice to hide and show away contacts with the touch of a few buttons or mouse clicks.

There's no way to hide the away or idle contacts, but you can sort them to the bottom of each of your groups. Go to View menu --> Sort Contacts --> by Status, and, optionally, Configure Status Sort....

although not for the size of my contact list, i can definitely see how this would be useful if you have several accounts online at once

You can't :) At least not automatically.

Ok, I solve my problem inserting all my contacts in the Address Book of Mac OS X: Adium automatically sorts them by account type.

We really shouldn't... perhaps you entered them in the right order in the AB?
