Hey there,
While using Adium, my AIM accounts keep signing on and off so rapidly that I soon recieve an IM from AOL saying that I have been suspended for ten minutes. I thought it was my internet connection at first, but had it checked and tested other cords, and all was well. Plus, my MSN accounts stay on during all this and don't seem to be affected. Any explanation? I see that a similar topic has been posted, but thought I'd throw it out there once more, just in case any new information has cropped up. In the meantime, I've resorted to using iChat. Ugh. Not good. Thanks, and take it easy, all.
AIM keeps signing on and off, MSN fine.

I ahve the exact same issue. My ICQ account have been kicking in and out for days, and it does seem like I am getting banned every now and then cause the logging on/off seem to be somewhat internittent in its frequency.
Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? Any settings that can be tweaked? I'm switching to iChat temporarily to see if that is working better for the time being. Really like to get back to Adium asap though.

I cannot sign in with my MSN account... my AIM accounts have always worked fine. Everyone in my office is using PCs and they all use MSN for business correspondence. So I am not sure what the problem is, we are all on the same network and theirs works just fine, so I doubt it is firewall.. plus my AIM on adium works fine.
Usually it just spins trying to connect, every now and then it will connect for a brief second and quickly disconnect, much like the people here are describing. A side-note, I can't MSN messenger to work as a standalone, I am running 10.4.4 anyone?
