send now, send later, don't send

Post by decrease789 »

right ok...

when you cant see a contact and you message them... you get the send now, send later, don't send dialog. ok... so say i press send now... ok it sends it. so on another day i want to do a different option on the same contact... but it automatically remembers for that contact what it should do?!
how can change this?! i want to use the send later option on one my of my contacts? is there a plist file somewhere i can change or something?!

thanks

:D

Well I know this isn't what you're looking for, but a workaround in the meantime is to manually setup what Adium does when you choose "send later", which is create a one-time event for that contact to send a message the next time they're seen.

Select buddy > Contact > Get Info > Events > Contact is seen > + > Send a message > Delete after event occurs.

There's probably a way, but I don't know of it. I was simply suggesting a workaround until someone is able to tell you how to fix your problem.

The likely answer lies in:

~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/default/ByObject/Service.ContactName.plist

No guarantees, but my instinctual answer :)
Try my software!

#define ADIUMX pimp //by me
#define QUESTION ((2b) || (!2b))
Have you hugged a programmer today?
