Crash after Preferences-Messages

Post by Yazan »

Hello all.

Im expriencing a problem that is possibly a bug, or a bug under the conditions of my computer, everytime I go to preferences then to messages, it seems to crash. This has happened over 20 times in a row, even after restart and so on. I can navigate the rest of the preferences but with the message ones it crashes each time.

I search the forums and didnt find anything in regards to this problem.

Please help ASAP.

Thankyou

This was an old bug IIRC. Upgrade to the newest build of Adium and your problem should sort itself right out!

Ev, you're right that it's an old bug.

Unfortunately we've never actually figured out how to fix it :\

Yazan, is there anything unusual about your system? What are your:

a) Systemwide accessibility settings?
b) Speech settings?
c) Speech recognition?
d) Default language preferences?
The duck still burns.

One thing that fixed this, once: check in the System Prefs -> Universal Access, and see if "Enable Access for Assistive Devices" is checked. If it is (and if you don't use any), uncheck it and see if that helps.
