icam chat on yahoo!

Post by jtw2nd »

Is there any way for my kid's Granny, who has a mac to see her grand children via web cam from a PC, preferably on Yahoo chat and vis a versa? I downloaded Adium on to her mac but I'm not sure what to do next.

Thanks!

Adium does not support video or audio chat. Please search the forum before asking next time, it'll answer common questions a lot faster.

The official Yahoo! client at Yahoo.com does video conf for Mac and PC.

Also iChat does video conferences with the latest version of AOL's Instant Messaging Client.

Video Calls

I also want to point out the BEST Video solution for Mac and PC users is SightSpeed. It is free for 1 on 1 calls.

The AIM to iChat Video is NOT firewall friendly and just plain sucks.

iChat to iChat works fine.

I TOTALLY agree... SightSpeed is the BEST application for video chat! I use it with my iSight to connect to my family's PC and it works fabulously.
