File Attachments from iChat

Post by the_webmaestro »

Howdy folks,

I have problems when colleagues try to send me files. They're on iChat, and I'm on AdiumX, and the files never complete. Is there something I'm doing wrong (or they're doing)?

I'm on Mac OS X 10.3.7 Powerbook G4...

I've got ICQ & .Mac (AIM equivalent)

Is there more info needed?

Thanks!

You'll have much better results if both parties are not behind a firewall or router. If one or the other is, you'll have much better results if ports 5190 through 5200 are open and forwarded to the machine you are using.
The duck still burns.

Ports 5190-5200, huh?

Thanks! That would be good to add to a FAQ somewhere (unless it's not a frequent question...).

Cheers!
