Fonts on macs vs fonts on pc through adium

Post by heyyjude9 »

alright here's my question.

i've got adium for my ibook and i've been talking to my friends who use AIM. they told me that my font looks redicuously big and its in times new roman. on my screen though, it looks normal, font size 12 lucinda grande.

any reason for this?
im new. i suck. i'm trying to learn.

I guess they don't have lucida grande?
try using something comon: Times, Verdana, ...
This way you'll both see the same font!

Also, keep in mind that you can reformat what you see on your message style, so you might be sending a big times new roman, but have it reformatted to lucidia grande in your message view when you send it. When you're typing a message, go to Format > Show Fonts (or just cmd-t) to see what font you're actually sending them.
