iChat style "New Message Alert"

Hello.

Is there any possible way that Adium could be extended to have iChat-style message alerts? Like, the little window that pops up in the upper right corner, under the items in the menu bar.

Has this been done, or are there any plans to create this feature?

I am not sure exactly what to call it other than the new message alert in iChat
