Dock Icon prefs

Post by wunderwood »

Here is a feature request that used to exist on Adium at one point, and it was helpful to me and perhaps others. I would like to see the option to make the dock icon continuously bounce. It's annoying to some, but some of us get so into our work that we would not notice a new message otherwise (the noise is downed out by iTunes or maybe I'm out of the room). It would to clutter the Dock prefs pane because it's quite empty at the moment anyways (not that empty is a bad thing). Dose this seem like a good addition to the anyone else?

The "Events" preferences in SVN take care of this. :) Even in .7x though, I believe you can choose to bounce "repeatedly" which should take care of that for now.

You would think as many posts as I have posted, I would be done with stupid one's. But you have to admit it's hard to find. You have to go custom under the pull down menu. I was never good at looking for stuff.

Yeah, that interface sucks horribly.

I can say that since it's completely redone from scratch for 0.8 ;-)

But I loved the menu with the option that wasn't like the other options and spawned a window with a popup that was really an add button and more popups within the table and the implied keyboard delete!!!

I hope you're not going to say next that you like the emoticon pack previews being a single cell which leaks, has a gigantic mess of magic numbers, and sports a checkbox which doesn't actually behave as a checkbox but instead behaves as a vaguely checkbox-shaped control which changes to be checked or unchecked some point in the near future after a click event in its general vicinity.... 'cause you'll be disappointed. ;)
