There's no webcam/video support in Adium. But aMSN and Mercury both support it, and they should work with iSight.

Does not work

I downloaded both programs and i can see other people but they cannot see me or even my invitation

you said should work with ISIGHT - does that mean you have never tried

isight is $140
I just bought a Logitech Cam Pro4000 says supports Mac OSX but after buying it a tech specialist says only supports up to OSX 9. so definately not TIGER OSX

Please help

Since you don't have iSight you have to look for the driver of you webcam. Macam supports your cam, so just download it and install it. Please try discussing this stuff in Mercury's or aMSN's forums becuase this is too off-topic for Adium.

Good luck :)

Thanks Enano

With your help and link to Macam i was able to find the driver to make my Logitech Pro 4000 cam work

I am so happy!

I could not find the driver to support Tiger OSX on Logitech's own site

Thanks to you

I've found that under Tiger (OS X in general) most things don't need drivers. I use a DVcam for my webcam over the official Yahoo! client and of course there's no drivers for it to be a webcam but it just plugs in and works. Same goes for a lot of things that PCs need drivers for.

No, iSight WILL work with both of these Apps, as I have used both. You have to configure your router ports 6890 to 6900

Yeah, but he's using a Logitech. Some webcams work without drivers, some don't. It's hard to tell which ones so. But Macam's coverage has being increasing quickly, my QuickCam Zoom (I think that's the model) wasn't supported before, but now it is. The iSight will always work for obvious reasons.

If you're talking about Adium, it will not have voice/video for a while. Otherwise this goes in the chataway forum.

It started as an adium thread. Everyone else started talking about other things. It's beneficial to even adium users, I don't see a problem leaving it here.
