I would love for Adium to be as fully integrated with the Address Book as iChat is. Right now, as far as I know, it can only draw names FROM the address book. However, in iChat, when entering a name for a person (similar to an alias in Adium), that person's IM name is then added to his or her address book entry. I'm not sure if it's possible to do, but it would be a great feature to have in Adium.

This has been discussed a few times and I'm pretty sure that functionality similar to what iChat offers is somewhere in the future. It's one of my biggest requests as well.
