Adiumlog (1.x) converter to HTML

Post by robhulson »

I can't find this anywhere and I've been looking for a day now. So, I'm starting a thread for a last resort.

I have some old .adiumlog logs I found on an old hard drive (praise God, they were the original conversations between my fiancée and I that I thought I lost) and I want to convert them to the format Adium uses now. Has anyone created a script for this? Found converters for MSN and others, but not this on Xtras or the forums.

Surely someone's done something like this. Plain text is rather... boring. Any help, guys?

The log viewer will read them just fine if you add them in (I still have conversations going back that far myself in Adium) but to my knowledge there's no script or converter to 'prettify' them with HTML basics.
Try my software!

#define ADIUMX pimp //by me
#define QUESTION ((2b) || (!2b))

Right, I saw that. I'm sure glad that they're readable.

It's just that HTML is a) much more cross-platform friendly, b) it's annoying to have to rename all the files to .txt so they can be platform-independent, and c) HTML just looks prettier. One of my main reasons is because Chat Transcript Manager (from Unsanity) won't read the Adiumlog files and this is frustrating.

Hmm. Oh well, I'll keep checking back.

The Adium log viewer will continue to do so and will meet/exceed the capacities provided by the Chat Transcript Manager in the not all that distant future I hope.

There was/is an importer in the SVN source; I’m not sure if that converts or adds, though.
