could someone post the old build of adium that has this support.

the new microsoft live messenger has offline message support but clients like Adium won't recieve these messages. This seems to be a big problem for the future since we won't know what we have missed unless we open a Windows client.

Send me an email with the error(s) you're receiving and I'll try to help when I have a chance; I've compiled Gaim on several Macs (for the same reason you're wanting to).

I'm a bit surprised that this isn't a priority for the GAIM devs, after all there's certainly a lot of interest in it here.

Their priority right now is getting 2.0 out the door, not adding major new features.

You've got to remember that there is a new MSN protocol on its way as well and to be honest who knows if the current MSN11 and the new one are compatible?

Turns out a gaim patch writer is actually about 80% done with MSNp13, which is what the new msn beta for windows uses; he's waiting on it to be out of beta so the protocol is finalized before he finishes it up.

Yup, hopefully. :) Nothing's happened till it's happened, though.

Yes, it really puts Microsoft to shame.

All right, i saw a theme this morning (forgot ti's name) that seemed to display personal messages. I didn't know if Adium supported that so i looked for it on the forums.
I found this post, but i don't really understand... Is it an add-on? Is it all compiled and stuff (just install) or is it something for developers? I would love to add this feature to Adium (1.0b9).

Thanks!

I'm afraid that, that this plug-in is old now, and it won't be implemented into 1.0.
When GAIM is finished with it's Summer of Code, and when they implement the new protocol to their core. Adium will have it, but at a later time.

So even if it's not "officially" implemented, i won't be able to use it as a plugin?
