Contact pitures

Is there any way to see a contact avatar in a bigger size.
I mean to see it as a preview picture of some kind.

In the conversation window you can click the contact's image to make it bigger.

If you by "preview" mean the application, try taking a snapshot of the image with cmd-shift-4 and open the resulting file in Preview.

To be specific: the icon/picture in the toolbar of the message/conversation window is what you can hold your mouse down on to see to the picture larger (if it has been made smaller.)

Bigger than the one that is displayed when I keep pressed on the image in the conversation window or when I keep my mouse on top of any contact in the contact list isn't possible to display?

Not to my knowledge, when they are displayed in those contexts they are at maximum resolution IIRC. Each service has its own limits on the size of images I think.
