Contact and I can't see each other

Two questions:

1) One of my contact appears offline to me all the time, and I appear offline to him all the time - even though we are both available. We both upgraded to the new version of Adium and we still can't figure out why we aren't showing up as online to each other.

2) I am on the new Intel Mac now, and when I add a contact, the only options available to me are for AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and .Mac. I can't even add a MSN account. ?

1) It's probably an authorization issue. Are you on ICQ, or is he?

im going to confirm, i have the same issue. Both clients running .88, cant see each other, however .87 to .88 works fine

both are AIM, no ones ICQ
