Hi there

I've recently started taking a look at Adium - and it looks pretty good!

I can see that there should be an alert somewhere that tells me if my contact is typing a message, but I can't see where that is supposed to appear. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

If you havent installed any extras there will be a pencil icon next where their status should be. Or a blue icon. I can't remember what the default one is but just look at their status and you will see a different icon come up when they are typing.

the buddy icon of a typing buddy in the contact list turns into a pencil, and so does the icon on the top of a chat window.

As well as the status icon in the tab, if you have tabs enabled.

Thanks everybody - that's really helpful. For some reason, I didn't find it in the manual, but can now see it is there by searching on "pencil".
