Change color of font and background in the input line?

Maybe I'm just plain stupid, maybe it's simply not possible, but I'd like to change the color of the font/background in the input line. I installed a dark message style, and would like the colors in the input line to match, eg. dark grey background, green font. Is the an option to enable that anywhere?

Ok, maybe I'm just having trouble with the localized menus (german version), but when I'm adjusting colors in that menu, no changes will be applied to the input line? Is Adium just not saving these settings, or does that only affect the color&font in the message window?

Go to the input box.
Hit Command-T.
The green box with a T next to it is font color.
The white box with a white sheet of paper next to it is background color.
After you set all that to your liking, start typing, and send the message to save the font.

Dunno why that didn't work out before, as it was basically what it did the whole time, but it works! Thx, kbotc

I can get it to change, but it won't stick. It sends 1 message with that color and then back to the normal style. I'm also clicking on "Save as my default setting" at the bottom of the font window.

Using 1.0 svn BTW.
