How to Undo a "Not Listed" group

Post by ssexton »

I changed some of my contacts (using "Get Info" in the contact list) to be in the "Not Listed" group, since I would like to keep them in the list with the alias but my list was getting cluttered with people I don't talk to very often.

This looks like it is a one way change. Once someone is in the "Not Listed" group, how do I put them back into a regular group so that I can see them again? I don't see any way to do this.

This is with Adium 0.89.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Not Listed removes them from your contact list. We should have a confirmation indicating this behavior...

To get them back, use Contact->Add Contact

Perhaps you could create a new group, put them in it, and then collapse that group?

I'll remember that for next time. As it stands now, the contact info is lost.

Their names are still in your message logs. You can also look at the file list in

Code: Select all

~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/ByObject
which will have a small file for each contact about which Adium has ever been told.
