Pop3 Email notification

I don't know if the current version of Adium can support this, but how can I recieve notifications of emails on a pop3 school email account? Thanks in advance

unless your school account is aol, hotmail, or gmail, Adium can't check it. The general consensus on this was that Adium is a chat client, not an email client
