messages too large

I'm not sure if this could be fixed using an applescript or what, but it would be nice to have some feature that will break up a message that is "too large" into chunks that are small enough. Basically, if a message can only be 1000 letters but you try to send something that is 2750 letters Adium will break it into 3 chunks (1000 letters, 1000 letters, and 750 letters) and send them one after the other.

Maybe this wouldn't be a largely used feature, but it would be a nice one I think. Certainly not urgent by any means.
