I've tried like everything but i can't figure it out... I always have the obnoxiously loud subcatergory names or whatever and their annoying colors.

I looked around http://www.adiumxtras.com for a few minutes and found some of the closets things possible..

Those two list styles should only need a few color modifications to match that screeshot exactly, and also try using the Silkscreen font.

It looks to me that he just made the Opacity to 0%, and customized the colors of the names of the people in the list. You can change that in the Preferences Under Apperance.

I think the opacity can oly go as low as 11% You should just keep messing with all the colors fonts and opacity. You will eventually figure it out.

I can get my opacity down to 0% (according to the slider bar anyway). It looks like it's at 0% too.

i've got a question for YOU kazhultee, where can I get a desktop wallpaper like that?

A) Why can it only go down to 5% now? That's kind of annoying?

The reason you can only go to 5% is because OS X renders anything below 5% unclickable...
