HUGE memory (and CPU) leak. Rendezvous problem?

Hey guys,
Running Adium 0.75.1 here only with a single Rendezvous account online, I left for a few hours, came back, and found my PowerBook very slow and thrashing. The only applications running were Adium, Safari, Terminal, Finder and TextEdit. None of them had any windows open except for Adium's contact list and away message. I fired up "top" and lookie lookie!
That's definitely not a good thing to see, I'd wager.
Any comments? I believe evands or The Tick mentioned (at the old forums) that Rendezvous was executing code in the main thread and that a bug in it could singlehandedly lock up the whole application. Has there been no progress made in diagnosing this or properly threading the Rendezvous plugin?
Oh, and I sampled the app for 60 seconds. I hope this can be of some use. Is there any way to dump the memor... oh... I guess that actually would not be much help here since it's be over 500 MB.
edit: Err, sorry. I did see a loosely related thread here, but it got no lovin', and another thread here, but it had more to do with animating icons which I doubt is the same problem. The sample output I gathered is too long for this forum; so, I'll email it as described in that latter thread.
Thanks in advance.
