Upon downloading Adium 0.89.1, and restarting it after the install was complete, my contact list completely disappeared! I've gone through all the preferences, and tried everything in the book, but to no avail.

Any tips?

The brute force way to solve this problem is to delete your window positions preference file.

You can find it at...

<your user folder>/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/Window Positions.plist

Delete it, run Adium, it'll make a new one and put your contact list in the default position.
