I am trying to access MSN through a squid proxy on port 3128, but I cannot connect to MSN. The proxy will allow communication through ports 80, 81 & 443. I can get on to AIM through port 443, so there shouldn't be a problem.
aMSN does seem to be able to connect to MSN through the same proxy, so it might be an error in Adium X.
Any tips or suggestions?

Adium != (does not equal) aMSN.
To be accurate, aMSN uses an entirely different [custom] method to interact with MSN. Comparisons can be superficial only in this case, as we use libgaim and they use their custom system. Technically you could say this is an 'Adium' issue then, although it could be a 'libgaim' issue.

I understand it's an Adium error/issue, just saying Adium & aMSN have different 'guts' that do the primary things and this sounds like an issue with our 'guts' [libgaim]erlendscott wrote:It is an issue with the Adium application of some kind, as I just get a Gaim error and a writing error when I try to connect to the MSN server.
