Contacts list incomplete when not connected

I am just wondering why the contacts list shows only a few of my contacts when I am not connected, and shows the complete list of contacts when connected. I have tried other IM apps, and only noticed this with Adium.

It's an issue related to meta contacts which will be fixed in .8 :)
