status color

Is there a posibility to have my status message or some part of it in another color beside black? I mean my status, that is visible to all my contacts, not the appearance setting.

Same way you format text in your messages or in any other OS X application. Format->Font and Format->Color.

Ok, it changes the text color in the status text but my contacts don't see the status in a different color:(
What else can I try?
