i have a bug!

yes it is true, I have a bug. whenever I try to make a Jabber account I can never log in. it just flashes in between "offline" and "connecting" and then says "gaim error can't create socket"
its really getting on my nerves since I want a jabber account...
please help![/code]

What Jabber server are you trying to register with?
IIRC, Adium will only register with jabber.org (...and one other one, can't remember what it is).
Regardless, Jabber registration is buggy in Adium, so you can use Psi to register your Jabber account, and then log in with Adium.

In my experience, Jabber account registration does not work well in Adium. It has never worked for me when registering a jabber.org account. There is a ticket on this issue, however, and I think it is slated to be fixed in 1.0 or a version soon after.
