I am using Adium 1.0 SVN. I automatically connect to my account when opening Adium but don't want to. However in my Preferences:Accounts area where the tickbox for Automatically Connect on Launch is in Adium 0.89.1, it is not there in Adium 1.0 SVN. Can anyone help me out please. Thanks

1.0 svn is setup so that it remembers your last status. Auto connect is deprecated. If you were online when you quit it will log you in, and if you were offline it will not log you in.
Or at least, that's the hope.

Our basic assumption is that when you load Adium you want to be online.
Hidden feature tip of the day: Hold shift during startup to prevent all accounts from connecting regardless of their previous state.

Hey nice tip. Got me thinking..wouldn't it be nice to have a tip of the day feature on the website or a blog/fansite?? It would help people fully gain experience of the hidden depths that Adium has to offer

That's a cool idea, but we do try to avoid having the features of Adium be hidden at all. The shift-on-startup thing is one of four hidden features I can think of. The other three are:
1. push/pop/swap (try ctrl+up, ctrl+down, and ctrl+s in the message window's text entry area)
2. message history (cmd+up, cmd+down in the message window's text entry area)
3. Modification of an existing/saved status - hold option while selecting a status from a status menu to modify it before setting it.
Everything else should be obvious or made obvious if it isn't already

profiles, holding alt during startup. Though it's almost useless for normal users.
ontopic, it would be nice if statusses remember the accounts to connect, not what account to connect. I could make a status "good friends" and be online on yahoo, but not on msn.

That would be opt-up and opt-down, would it not?

Thanks for the tip. I think I've seen this somewhere and the answer is no but, is there anyway of connecting automatically 'invisible' other than setting your status to 'invisible' in your previous chat session. Thanks
