adium keeping old conversations how to change ?

How come Adium holds previous messages when you click on a friends name, I have it set to not log messages so how come it keeps all conversations ??

You can change this in your preferences. Go to "Advanced" and click on "Message History." The first option let's you change how much (or no) history appears in the chat box the next time you chat with a contact.

doh!! that was too easy think I checked out every thing but that one menu

This will change in 1.0, btw; message history will be tied to logging.
