Can't block users in GTalk?

I blocked a user on GTalk, but we are still able to converse as if the user was not blocked, even though in the Contact menu, it has 'Unblock' instead of 'Block' because the user is supposed to be blocked.

Is this a known bug?

Try blocking the contact in the official client

There is no GTalk client for the Mac as far as I know.

Correct. Maybe try Psi? I don't even remember if gtalk supports blocking yet.
