[OT] - Problem with BrainByte Message View Xtra

Post by MBHockey »

I posted this comment on the Xtras page for this message view, but no one has answered. Does anyone know why (it may be simple, i know nothing about css ;)) in this message view when someone messages me without a buddy icon (AIM protocol), there is this blue box with a question mark in the header?

The behavior is the same with every person i talk to who doesn't have a buddy icon.

Thanks.

The author didn't include a default buddy icon, most likely.

...Which, for anyone who doesn't know, should be named buddy_icon.png and placed in both the "Incoming" and "Outgoing" folders in the message view.

PS. As you've blurred out two instances of this contact's name, you might want to catch the others - in the window title, and above every message.

Hmm...it doesn't seem to want to go in the header though, although it will go in the other box...

*laughs at how absurd this has gotten*

"Hi, I'm crazy undocumented webkit message views! I've got no documentation... for a nose! gimme some candy."

incoming_icon.png, in the main folder (not Incoming or Outgoing) is the default icon for the header.

Ah.....thank you. It works now :)

I wish it did come with some documentation...at least a way to contact the author...

But, overall, a very nice message view!
