I'm really not sure where to post this...I'm sure it's around the forums somewhere (possibly buried in this thread). The old message styles will be ported/included in 0.8 right? My copy has only Smooth Operator and Mockie, I believe. I always used Simple with .7x.
Also, will conveniences like having saved aways in the Dock icon, and the Cmd-Y shortcut for "custom away" return in .8? Also pertaining to statuses, I realize that I have MSN and Yahoo! accounts set up as well as AIM ones, but should the list of statuses in the Evil Menu Duck really be this long (see pic)? It makes it a little inconvenient to set an away, especially since I'm hardly ever using anything besides just my AIM account. I guess I could delete the MSN and Yahoo ones but that would kind of go against the whole multi-protocol functionality of Adium.
Again, sorry if these have already been discussed...

I highly disapprove of using the image picker for the background pics in message styles. I have a picture that fills the entire chat window that I use, but it gets reduced to this tiny little icon-sized thing with the image picker. I strongly request using the previous method of choosing the message style background picture.
Edit: Also, messages in general are really !@#$ed up, but you probably already knew that. I'll be going back to my previous build now...

In the EDM, should there be submenues from a sn if you only have one account in Adium?
Read on for the full report if the answer is 'yes'...
I was playing with the new dual 2.5Ghz G5 / 30" display in the lab, and noticed that using my build (built on a G3; using that once because of the Cocoa/Cocoa.h thing), the submenues of the Evil Duck Menu weren't working; I could select my sn, but it didn't have the usual status-related submenus.
I've been having REALLY weird problems building. I've tried a fresh build several times, I've Archived and Installed, and so on (I was going to do that anyways).
I can't understand how this isn't working because I've successfully built it MANY times before.
I get: "Cocoa/Cocoa.h doesn't exist" or something to that nature

any help?
I'm getting the same thing using rev 9820. I just deleted my adium folder and did a fresh checkout, too...
Where are all those Cocoa header files stored anyway? I know I've found them in the past, but I just did a thorough search (making sure to have it look for both visible and invisible files) and came up with nothing.
edit: never mind, just remembered; they're in a framework, that's why searches can't find them.
edit 2: I replaced <Cocoa/Cocoa.h> with an actual path (in quotes) to the Cocoa.h file, and then it gave me a build error within Cocoa.h, about not finding Foundation.h and AppKit.h...so something is probably just wonky with the Adium project file. I just built an unrelated Cocoa app and it worked fine.

No, that's intentional. What good would a menu duplicating the one above it do?

Clean the target, and make sure your build style is "Deployment."
yesterday i ran in terminal cd adium then up svn. i got the list of things it updated and when it was done it said * * 9716
i can not remember what the 2 words were.
anyways i went to open the xcode file and it was corrupted.

of course is broken, svn is the playground of devs, nothing more, if you are pissed cause it doesnt work, then, you must chill, and drink some coke:)
Question: Since running the latest broken svn, my message views have been very screwed up for any version of Adium I try to run, whether it be the last stable build or .77. This happens even though I made a backup of my Adium 2.0 folder. Is there some plist or something that exists elsewhere on the HD that I can trash to fix this problem? I've resorted to iChat because I can't use any form of Adium right now!
Edit: I found com.adiumX.adiumX.plist, trashed it, and the problem was solved.

That doesn't work here. I'm going to have to search out my Dev Tools CD and see if installing the 10.2.8 SDK fixes it...
If you can't find the CD, you can download it with a free apple account. Of course, if you don't have a fast internet connection, then you'll want to find the CD.
Bosk wrote:the 10.2 SDK did not fix anything for me =/
Are you sure it was the 10.2.8 SDK? I had the 10.2.7 SDK installed and it wasn't helping-- but installing 10.2.8's SDK seems to have done the trick (just about finished, it used to honk up around the beginning).
