Typing indicator - Yahoo??

I've been getting complaints from people when I'm in a tabbed view, typing in a yahoo chat room (Tasmania Locals:1 if it matters) that people who have open seesions of Yahoo personal messages get the typing indicaor no matter where I type... (so I'm not typing to them, but they think I am)
One person describes it as a 'privacy issue'...
Anyway.. I searched couldn't see this raised as an issue (probably missed it - sorry).
Happens in 0.7x and 0.8svn

You will be able to disable all typing notifications in the next version.

Are they a drama coach?
Seems to me the worst someone can do is go... "you said you were gone and I see you typing

"

Martin: Bizarre. Can you reproduce this? Does it happen every time?

No, not able to reproduce reliably. But I've had people using gaim (Fedora), and using 'yahelite'??<shrug>, complain (not bitterly).
I guess there's a chance it's my cordless mouse (logitech USB) doing something weird :-|

I double checked everything on our end, and it all looks sound. Typing flags are being set independently and on the correct chats, very strange.

If it's any help, the Yahoo typing indicator sometimes seems to "stick", whatever client is being used. I've been both the perpetrator and the victim of this terrible crime...

Heh. Cosmic rays perhaps :-) Umm. I have noticed weird things from time to time to do with the keyboard (standard apple) in Adium (only?) ever since getting this mouse (very rarely, but as soon as I first got it). Is weird. <shrugs>.
