How do I use scripts?

I have downloaded a handful of scripts but I cannot figure out how to access/use them once I have installed them. Can someone please tell me what I am missing? Thanks!

Go to the Edit Menu -> Insert Script and click on the script you want.
For the ones that use arguments, put {} after it and put the arguments inside!
