I could not find this help or topic anywhere, so I am hoping that someone can be of help. I just installed Adium and am trying to add contacts, but am not having any luck. When I add a contact they are not showing up in my contact list. The only contact that shows up is me! I go to the Contact menu, and then click on Add Contact...., I select the contact type, enter the screen name and alias, make sure my account is selected, and click Okay. However then nothing happens. No contact is added to my contacts menu. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can give me.

In the View menu choose "Show offline contacts". Does your contact show up now?

Okay, two more questions. Can you use a webcam with Adium? I couldn't see my friends cam and never got the invitiation. We also tried exchanging sending files and nothing happened. I never got the file and mine said sent, but they never got it. thanks.

1. Search the forum and the wiki before posting. This question has been asked MANY times. The answer is no. Maybe in the far future.
