Wrong alias showing in message window?

I am not sure if this is related to meta-contacts or just in the alias system.
On occasion, the message window will list the wrong alias for a screenname. I believe this is showing up pretty consistently with a couple of my AIM contacts.

In this case "Caitlin" is the correct alias, but for some reason "Chris Nelson" (an alias for a complete other screenname) is showing up.
