OK I've posted updated info on the project and it's now hosted on my site here:

I'm using xblaze with Adium 1.0b9 and when I begin typing to people I get this error message:

Could not send from (null) to (null)

about every 2 seconds. If I close the window nothing happens, but if I try to send the message Adium crashes.

If you need a graphic artist I'm your man! I would love to help out.

I'm having aa startup crash coused by this plug-in using 1.0b9.. is this a known bug?

yeah I'm having the same problem. I'm using all new versions of Adium and the plugin.

Im a bit confused as how the Plugin works. How do I message someone using XFire?

Also I'm not having a problem with Adium or the plugin.

You create an account on xfire.com, you install xblaze, you connect your account and then you add buddies!

And yes, I have problems with Xblaze and b9 too.

I made an account at Xfire.com but whenever I try to create a new account in Adium it crashes just like you guys said.

The plugin seems to be so unstable it may take a while. Xfire is updated so often it's so hard to maintain connection to the server. Not sure what causes all these bugs...multiple things most likely. It would be nice if the Xfire devs had a remote interest in the Mac world trying to connect with their client. *Believe me, there hostile when it comes to Mac users. All you have to do is search their forums...*

If they wanted to make Adium the official Xfire client for OS X, there might be a lot less hostility between devs and users.

Can someone point the devs here?

Anyone know when the next version might come out? I would really like to be able to talk to some friends who only use XFire.

0.6 beta 1 is available on the official forum.

Ok guys let me know if this works. I've been playing with it on Adium 1.0b11 and so far have it pretty stable BUT IM doesn't work. Everything else seems to work. It was crashing like crazy and stuff and I was trying tons of different things.. and then *bam* it stopped crashing and it started working - I have no idea why

Anyways, let me know if it crashes on launch (or whenever). Thanks.

The link seems to be a dud. It doesnt work for me anyway. However it may be because I'm using Safari as my web browser.

I believe he is also working on making xfire a sepperate application to reduce the ammount of bugs in it.

The bugs are entirely the fault of the xfire plugin, not of Adium; I offered to help him and got no response.

Sorry to revive an old topic, but I wanted to bring attention to this again.

kainjow, developer of the Xblaze plugin, is no longer working on Xblaze. This can be seen at the following URL: http://www.kainjow.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121 . There is also a link to the source on that page.

The plugin is function, though buggy, on Adium X 1.0b15. I have not been noticing many crashes, but it does an odd thing were everyone on my contact list, including myself, keeps going on and off. However, I can still send and receive messages with these people even though Adium thinks they are offline. There is also much work to be done on things such as profiles and game support before it is nearly as good as it could be, but that is exreamly unimportant compared to the contact status problem.

Nobody is working on it, so I'm not sure what calling attention to it will do...

Last I checked, it was the single largest producer of crashes that we currently have. Since you have posted a link showing that the plugin isn't supported any longer, I'm locking this thread.
