Switching between accounts

I tried searching Trac for this, but I am not as computer lingo literate...I may have come across my answer and not realized it!

I am currently transitioning between an old SN and new one on AIM. I am logged on to both right now on Adium, with one away message saying "Please IM me now at my new SN!" and the other with another away message.

1) How do I ensure that the IM that I am sending out is from the new, and not the old account?

2) Is there any way that I can make that a permanent thing?

Before you send a message to a contact, you should have a bar at the top of the conversation saying who you are sending to and which account you are sending from. THis dissapears after the first message. Also i think it remembers the last account you used.
