What's the error you're getting currently? Current source should be building.

Well, I tried it again (latest SVN, as of 12:47 pm PT), and it built, but then crashed immediately upon being opened... so I dunno.

try trashing ~/ApplicationSupport/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/Saved Status.plist (or temporarily moving it) and relaunch.
I think I recall that caused some instabilities in running my svn Adium when the "status rewrite" was just getting underway. (this of course trashes all saved away-messages you had). And try launching it a second time if it crashes.

Hi all,
I was wondering about this mobile Adium idea... At my university, all the Macs use the simple finder (so us lot can't muck up them...). Anyway, because of this, they have obviously specified what apps you can and can't open. Would this mean that I would be unable to run the mobile Adium, even if I go through the motions of setting it up at home and then taking it in on my iPod...?
Thanks!
Adam

I haven't ever played with Simple Finder. Can you get to the iPod hard drive at all? Can you see the Adium program? If so, and you double click it, what happens?

Sorry, I didn't mean Simple Finder at all, lol.
Basically at uni they have restricted the apps we can open/use, but it's just occurred to me that I can test to see if it works by creating a new, restricted user on my computer and running it there. Anyway, the whole download thing is compiling as we speak, so we'll see (though I'm quite doubtful it will work... grr... stupid uni... hehe)

Bah
No, :-( As expected.... I don't have permission to run the program. GRR.

hi,
do you have the right to run Terminal.app or Script Editor, then you can try to start adium from there.
On my test account i can run Adium from Script Editor with
Code: Select all
do shell script "open /Volumes/myStick/Adium/Adium.app/"

So make an Apple Script or something on my computer, then try running that script on the other...? Hmm, I'll just try it with the setup here...
*tries*
Ok, erm.. my Apple Script doesn't work... (but thenI'm not really sure how to write applescript stuff. Hehe...
Bit more help if possible? Thanks!

Hey again,
Nope, when I try and compile that applescript I just get an error saying 'Syntax Error, Application isn't running'
I think I'm going to be doomed to just be using web-java clients for msn at uni... lol. (cries)
