file transfer

Post by hideyourlovers »

ok so whenever i try to send a file to a contact,
all i get is 'began sending file to contact'
and my contact who is using regular AIM, just gets a message stating
'waiting to connect'

is there a way i can toggle a window to actually complete/control the file transfer?

thanks
Im very grateful to all concerns

Wait for Adium version .8. File transfers will be improved greatly.

To clarify: File transfer has a user interface in 0.80, but functionality in terms of actually transferring is not significantly different.

If you're using AIM, and you or the other party are behind a router or firewall, those devices should have ports 5190-5200 opened for file transfer to work reliably.
