In case of reboot, are log files easily transferrable?

So I've ordered a bigger hd for my laptop, and it's coming in a week or so. Thing is, I've had my chats saved with the convos I've had, and I'd like to keep them.

If I backup these files, and install Adium on my new hd, is it as easy as dragging and dropping into the new folder and continuing as normal? I don't want duplicates of my log files or anything of the like as a result of this.

Thanks for the reply.

Should the copying over be done before setting up the accounts and stuff? Or after? Cause like I said I don't want duplicate files.

Copying over that folder (~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0) should be done before opening Adium; that way, on first launch you have all your stuff.
