How can I alter EVERY incoming font so it looks a certain way (they can all be the same), but set my outgoing font so it looks different than the incoming one? Is this possible? Please walk me through this.

To set the font of every incoming message, go to Adium --> Preferences --> Messages

Uncheck the boxes next to:

"Show Received Message Fonts"
"Show Received Message Colors"

and then set what you want the font to look like for your incoming messages via Set Font..

There’s also a plugin (http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=x ... ra_id=1977) that removes formatting (bold, underline, italics, etc.)

Wait, are those options not available in 0.89.1?
