"|" pipe bug in jabber

Hi,

I use the latest version of adium (v0.76), i made an upgrade from an older version (dunno the number, but i already had the problem)
I can't add a new jabber accout because its not allowed to type a "|" pipe character on the User Name field.
However I don't have this problem with another client : gaim on my linux box

The error Message is :

"Invalid Input"

The characters you're entering are not valid for an account name on this service

I guess it's a bug as those characters are allowed by jabber

Bizarre - had no idea you could use pipe. Do you know of a list of allowable characters anywhere?

i upgraded to 0.77
i still have the same error message when typing a pipe : (alt + shift + L)

alt + shift + L is not a pipe. It is an "Ò"

shift + \ is a pipe (|)

i got an azerty keyboard (french layout) and use alt + shift + L to get a pipe since a long time
anyway, i dont have \ on my ibook keyboard : i got to do : shift + / to get it

I have a US QWERTY keyboard.

Try pasting in a pipe…

This change never made it into the .7x series. It'll be present in 0.80.
