Adium Animated Chat/Buddy Icons

Can i set an animated chat or buddy icon in AIM etc. and have it show up as animated on my friend's computer?

has anyone tested this with the normal AIM client and Adium X?

if not, what's the best way of getting this implemented, short of writing my own code (sorry, i have no idea how to write code)?
