how to change color of name in dock icon?

my dock icon used to display the name of the person im'ing me in blue and white (like this) http://static.flickr.com/86/228266245_0 ... bb.jpg?v=0
i had to reinstall adium and the 1.0 beta, now it flashes between this: http://static.flickr.com/66/228266246_a ... 94.jpg?v=0 and this http://static.flickr.com/76/228266247_a ... 5c.jpg?v=0
it does this in regular adium and the 1.0 beta. i'd like to change it back, but i dont know how. any help would be greatly appreciated.
