Not so stupid 'Stupid Dialog' (MSN auto-adding)

I was looking at the to do list on SVN and saw this:

- Automatically respond YES to the MSN Synchronization dialog. It's a stupid dialog and you would never want to say NO to it. [Evan]

I'm not sure if I agree. There are some people I deleted from my list and when they message me they get added to 'recent buddies' and then when adium reconnects to MSN it asks me if I want to add these people and I always click 'no'. Getting rid of that option would mean my MSN contact list will get populated by quite a few more people, and that's quite a problem since MSN does limit the length of the list.

What client did you delete them in?

I've been using Adium exclusively for about a year now so they have been deleted on Adium clients from 0.50 up to SVN today.

Ok, so this would be more of a bug in adium than a problem with pushing yes on that "stupid dialogue", right?

I think it's a problem of future versions of adium not giving me a choice on whether people are added to my list when I've removed them before.

Tick's point was that Adium shouldn't be trying to re-add people you've removed. We need to fix THAT bug, then the dialog really is stupid. :)
