Local time macro in away message?

Post by BadlyDrawnGirl »

Hi all...I'm going to be traveling to New Zealand in a week and I was thinking it would be cool if I could put some code in my away messages that would display the local time in Auckland, so my friends don't get confused when they see I'm "Out on the town" and think it's 5AM when really it's nighttime where I am. ;) Is there any way I could do this?

Put %t in your away message. It'll be replaced with the current time whenever someone views the message.

But will that display the user's local time, or can I specify a certain regional time?

hmmm... I'm pretty sure it'll display *your* local time. The substitution is done adium-side rather than at their end.
