Well I'm new to Adium. I just downloaded it a few hours ago and I'm enjoying it, but now when I click on a AIM link on someone profile on forums it opens up Adium and not ichat.... It also happened on Yahoo IM, but I fixed it in the preferences... I went and checked ichat, but it didn't seem like it had that same thing like on YIM.... maybe there is something on Adium that I can change so that it doesn't become like my default IM thing like browsers do. If anyone can tell me how to do this that would be great. Please and thank you. ^_^

I removed the AOL IM account from my Adium preference window but Adium still takes over as the default AIM client.

I would like to use IChat as the default AIM client and Adium as the default Yahoo client.

Searching through these forums, it is recommended that I use More Internet to change the preferences, and I am. But regardless Adium keeps changing AIM to Adium.

I also attempted to remove 1.plist and 2.plist from my applications/library folder, but that still did not resolve this issue.

Is there a way around this?

In Adium 1.0, Adium will prompt you before making the change on launch. You can say "No" and "Don't Ask Me Again" and you'll be good to go.
