Contact List Goes Bye-Bye

OS 10.3.8
iBook G3
Adium 0.76 (using 0.80 now)

What would happen is I would put up an away message and go to sleep. The next morning I would wake up and my buddy list would be gone. I'd go to Adium and click for the Contact List but it would not come up. My roommate would try to IM me (I was still on his contact list) but would get an error saying I was unavailable. To remedy the problem, I disconnected and then reconnected.

Maybe it's some sort of reconnect issue? I don't think I lost connection or anything. Who knows!

Adium automatically disconnects on sleep (as discussed on http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?t=933)

This happens to Mac OS X as a whole, so if you were checking emial while the computer goes to sleep, it won't continue

He's going to sleep, not his computer. It's the infamous "disconnects overnight" problem. It's been discussed before, but I don't think it was ever resolved.

*nod* No resolution yet, unfortunately.

It has to be gremlins.

I'm willing to bet that gremlins are indeed the cause to all our Adium troubles. Thankfully, they're small and afraid of light. :)
