Hello everyone

I've been havind this problem, maybe someone can help. I use Adium for MSN and i my contact list uses old display names from my contacts, although I'm sure some of them have used other names recently. Is there a way to make Adium "remember" the last name or am I doing something wrong. Help is highly appreciated.

Thanks. Matt

Are these contacts online or offline? I think when the contact is offline it shows the original screenname of the contact rather than the most recent.

I have this when it comes to offline users.

But they change when they go online.

And that's for Adium 1.0b11

I have the same problem. The display names for users who are offline have their original display name when I added them. Once they appear online, its fine. Oddly enough, sometimes it does update the names, just very rarely. I don't think this is a problem with Adium though, the same thing happens on Messenger For Mac.

But not on the official Windows version.

Well Adium can't do this yet sorry. I think it relies on libgaim (the core of Adium) which the Adium devs have little control over.
